We have included 3.5 hrs of recorded content from our most recent Ashtanga Yoga Workshop in Ridgway, CO (January, 2026) for you to absorb at your own convenience. You will also access the handouts as a downloadable PDF so that you can follow along in the deep dive.

“I’ve practiced Ashtanga with Hansa for over ten years, and she has been not only a teacher but also a mentor and friend. If I had to describe her in one word, it would be ‘rock’ – she is the most grounded person I know. She truly practices what she preaches, holds space for all, and gives generously to her community. I highly recommend working with Hansa if you have the opportunity!” — Steve

What to expect

A few words from Hansa

  • Content

This is a compilation of a lot of different things to support your practice and journey. You’ll find numerous replay audios from different workshop sessions (close to 4 hours), handouts, written materials about themes related to practice, as well as other topics for contemplation, podcast episodes (2.5 hours), book recommendations, and more. This study-guide is created to give you context and depth, no matter if you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner. We all need to embody the beginner’s mind and stay curious as we go about our practice – so this is for everyone!

  • Who is this for?

This compilation of content is a useful tool for anyone with a physical yoga practice, and at any level of practice, no matter their lineage or background. It is for anyone who wishes to practice with more clarity, steadiness and ease. While some of the resources go into the lineage, sequence, and theory of the Ashtanga Yoga Method, the techniques and focus areas discussed are highly applicable to ANY physical yoga practice, since Ashtanga Yoga is based on traditional Hatha yoga postures and practices. There is lots to dive into here, including philosophy and Sanskrit of the postures in the Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series (which you will find in most yoga classes today). It is not about what you do or practice, but how you do it – with what level of attention, reverence and presence. If you are new to yoga: this compilation will give you both context and depth which you can apply as you go. If you have an established practice: this is an invitation to deepen your attention to the myriad subtleties both within the practice and within yourself, as well as making your practice a moving meditation and offering.

  • A study companion + resources

My aim is to provide you a useful tool, to deepen your practice with this study companion – including handouts, lecture audios, podcast episodes, writings, and other resources. There is a lot here. Please do not get overwhelmed. Dive into the topics you feel called to. Yes, there is a structure to the sequencing of content here – however, browse the overview and then dive in where you feel called to. Let your intuition guide you.

  • Structure + access

Please note that even though this is set up as a course with certain lectures, you can jump back and forth between sections and there will be NO test or quiz at the end of this. All of this is compiled and organized for you to have as a study guide, that hopefully inspires you to dive deeper into the inner work. You get 12 months access to the content. If you need longer, just send me an email!

“The time that I’ve spent with Hansa over the years has always been meaningful and illuminating. Even though she is many years younger than I am, I still call her my older sister! Her wisdom goes far beyond her years on this earth. She is an old soul. And she is not just a person who talks it, she is a person who walks it, and at the end of the day, that’s what counts.” — Todd

Testimonials

Feedback from Ashtanga Yoga Workshop participants (January 2026)

“Thank you so much for Saturday, it was energizing to be in the group. I really enjoyed the format and how there was structure and content but also room for letting the conversation flow where it went. The day flew by. Thanks again.”

Steve

“What a magical day!! 🤎 So grateful for you Hansa and for this amazing community. I had a wonderful day yesterday and definitely made such an emotional impact on me! I think what stood out the most was talking about letting go of narratives and stories that no longer serve. I took a lot of notes and reflected a lot on it.”

Virginia

“Thank you Hansa for a much needed day of yoga and sangha! Can’t wait for the next one 🙏🏼 I think the format was great!! I like that we had practice in the morning and philosophy and meditation later. Lunch was great. 5 stars all around 🤩”

Jessica

“Thank you for holding and facilitating the space yesterday! I'm so sore today which is amazing. I really appreciated the conversations as well. I would enjoy more opportunities to contemplate in community. Having the time at the end to address any lingering questions or thoughts to share felt like it offered some cohesive closure. The movement, conversation, breath work/meditation, conversation flow felt effective in helping us drop into the space and integrate. By getting us into the rhythm of oscillating between internal and external connection it helped find an anchor between those seemingly opposing forces. Looking forward to being a part of future opportunities.”

Kayla

“A quick thank you Hansa for such a special day at the Kiva. I too relish the authentic and rich conversation, inquiry, yoga and community. The energy was beautiful and peaceful. I thought the workshop was really well done and nicely put together. It gave me a solid foundation of the practice. The delicious food was a yummy bonus. Great to have the visuals and handouts to reference and so appreciated. And then there is you! Words can’t describe what you exude. 💝 Thank you for being.”

Nancy

“Thank you. I really enjoyed it. I really liked how everything was laid out. It felt open and easy to respond and inter act with. It felt easy to be apart of and easy to understand the information being given. Everyone seemed interested and participating. I think people really got something out of it. I definitely felt seen and felt like I was part of something that seemed to really resonate with people. I can see the look on people's faces and in their eyes that it was a meaningful day for everyone involved. I truly think it went wonderfully. Thank you again for having me. And I will definitely make more effort to be involved. I've been missing this. ”

Charlie

“Thank you so much for putting together the workshop. I’d love to do this twice a year! I liked the hand out of the poses with the Sanskrit breakdown of definitions. I’m a visual learner so it helps me a lot. Thank you for putting it all together-the space, food and beverage-were great, handouts and lectures. I also enjoy the questions and input part as you never know where it’s going to go. Love and gratitude for all you do!”

Julie

“That was so lovely and grounding 🙏🏻 Thank you for making it happen 🫶🏻”

Anya

“Hey Hansa, I just wanted to say thank you for everything you do. Thank you for allowing me to be in your space, to have the opportunity to learn and connect, in the way that I can. And I just want you to know that I deeply appreciate not just you making the space available to me, but also your personal calling and what you are choosing to do with your time, your focus and your energy. I really appreciate it. I just wanted to say thank you – and I'll see you soon.”
